This is a multi-layer cut out collage made of colored paper, which is hand-painted with acrylics. The collage is based on a poster Southend by Charles Pears, 1927. Pictured here is the famous Chapman Lighthouse, which served faithfully from 1851 to 1957 on the shores of Chapman Sands.
